My #fedi meme knowledge is limited, such that when I see characters that are supposed to be the mascots of like Pleroma or whatever, I mistake them for @tlapka and @puniko

I've occasionally seen #Steam rattled off as an example of "enshittification"--it gets a mention in the blog post coining the term, alongside obvious examples like Google search and Amazon.

Has the Steam user experience deteriorated that much? Maybe I just haven't been playing as many games out of the Steam launcher lately, being focused on things like MTG Arena and heavily modded X-Com, but I haven't noticed a downward spiral. Hasn't e.g. the Steam Deck been a genuine/deserved success?
