Historically low misery index is great news for Harris.

The "misery index", the sum of the unemployment rate and inflation rate over the last year, has been an excellent predictor of US presidential elections, having correctly forecast 15 of the past 16 races for the White House.

Now the index is at 6.8, pretty much the lowest it has been in six decades.

This low a misery index says Harris should win the election.

Her stump speech has evolved a great deal in the last two weeks. It is much more natural and 'off-the-cuff' now, and she is connecting and feeding off her audience. It is really masterful. She is also getting much more specific about her economic plans, the $50 tax cut for new businesses and $25K first time home purchases.

Kind of annoyed by this "Trump fell for fake internet theory" stuff. No. Trump is spreading a fake internet hoax in full knowledge that it is not true in order to stoke racism and hatred, and to demonstrate the power he has over his idiot supporters.

Her response to his 'Gish gallop' was perfection. It's very difficult, but she deliberately didn't try to refute his fire hose of nonsense. She shifted the subject at opportune moments to damaging attacks. For example, with the J6 answer, she didn't refute his ridiculous account. She switched to Chattanooga 'Fine people on both sides', which she knows he hates, and became passionate about this horror. And he took the bait over and over again.

Donald Trump's very bad not good truly awful night just keeps getting worse. Taylor Swift's timing is just amazing. 👏

Be wary of all these stories saying Trump's people are worried about how he will behave in the debate, and reporters suddenly discovering he speaks a lot of gibberish.

They are lowering the bar for tomorrow, so that they can later claim he exceeded expectations.
