    >> Sameh Shoukry asserts peace agreement will hold despite warnings from Egyptian officials IDF offensive on Gaza's Rafah could jeopardize longstanding pact.

    >> Egypt's primary concern is reportedly the potential influx of Palestinians crossing into the Sinai Desert to escape the fighting.

When Egypt closes their border no one bats an eye. When Israel does it everyone loses their minds.

@gwit Just to be clear you’re saying Hamas (Palestinians) are justified in attacking Israel and Israel is not justified in retaliation and the reason is that because Israel is a coloniser. Is this correct?

    Just two questions:
    1. Where did Jews originate?
    2. Where are Hamas firing positions?

This is without question a tragedy beyond any human comprehension. However if it’s to be prevented from ever happening again, don’t you think all parties need to be held accountable?

"But in the bloody arithmetic of Hamas’s leaders, the carnage is not the regrettable outcome of a big miscalculation. Quite the opposite, they say: It is the necessary cost of a great accomplishment — the shattering of the status quo and the opening of a new, more volatile chapter in their fight against Israel."

Hamas leaders say they waged their Oct. 7 attack on Israel because they believed the Palestinian cause was slipping away, and that only violence could revive it.

@aral No critical commentary on how Hamas provoked and escalated the conflict?

It's puzzling that polarized diatribe like this exists, as if Israel just randomly decided one day to start bombing children and hospitals for no reason.

Point a finger at Israel if you want but I think your words are more fitting for Hamas.
