@ironchamber i never thought i'd say it but i'm happy to not be using rails these days. i do miss ruby but not rails.

biggest challenge right now is circular system library dependencies. i'd almost rather deal with this than another rails upgrade, though.

time to lay into some contract work that i neglected while i was sick. i'm doing my damnedest to containerize a legacy application and boy is it an uphill fight.

@ironchamber yep. I think it's my second battle with it. The first was before it was in the news fully and there were no tests. I had been at a work gathering in Berkeley and two people brought it from black hat.

Everything tastes like fennel and/or smells like baby powder. I guess I got lucky with that symptom because I read about a lot of people getting rotten meat smell/taste instead. There's some ten dollar word for it that I can't spell but whatever. What a bizarre virus.

Vacation time. Had some complications and couldn't go to Vegas to compete so I'll be spending some extra time visiting the other gyms, hanging out with family, reading, and maybe even some time at the shooting range. Finally at a point in life where I've learned how to appreciate leisure once in a while.

If there's anything I've ever been good at in life it's pedaling a bicycle like a cracked out squirrel. Just outpaced the stationary at the gym. Always a good feeling. Obviously a better feeling on two wheels but time and weather were a barrier today.

Anyway, serious question: what happens when ai consumes ai content? Say for example ai in a search engine parses articles generated by ai. Does it produce some kind of poor quality information loop or is it a solved problem because the models are already trained?

Anybody have recommendations for a #game #design or #development course for a mature teenager? Preferably that can be done in small segments. Our son expressed interest in adding #gamedev to his #homeschool curriculum this year. Open source preferred. Boosts greatly appreciated.

Started playing Ghost Recon: Wildlands again (or as we used to call it, "GTA Bolivia") because it was on Game Pass. I guess I didn't have a Ubisoft account or had a different one linked to my Playstation account so I had to start over. I forgot how fun that game is, especially if you don't take it too seriously.
