Today is my birthday. Recognizing birthdays is weird and arbitrary. The Earth isn't really in the same place as last year. The sun isn't even in the same place as last year. In fact, it has never been in the same place within my lifetime, nor that of any person currently alive. The perceived cycle isn't even really a true cycle.
