Oh hey, pro tip; If you want to steal emojis with the StealEmojiPolicy, but you'd like to review them before adding to your instance, add a file called "pack.json" in the "stolen" folder with the following line as content
{"files": {}}
Then restart the server.
The policy will still add emojis to the folder, but the instance will only show the ones listed in the file (which is none).
To make an emoji usable from the FE, you can just copy the to a different folder (or add it to the file, check the format of another pack you may have) and restart the instance.
The "restart the sever" part is annoying, but well…
Oh, and another pro tip; If you can access over ssh, you can probably mount over sftp. If you added an ssh-key so you don't need to add a password, you can just add your server to your file browser's network locations and access it from there just as easy as any local folder on your pc. No need for `ssh`, `cd`, `mv`, `cp`... Just browse, open, and move stuff like you otherwise do on your local pc.
It's super basic and I'm not sure if or how much I'll work on it, but I think it can already be useful for someone who wants to add something like this.
Alternatively it's probably possible to have an emulator run on a server somewhere and take over using vnc or something ? Problem is it also needs a solution for audio then
@tost@Moon@helene This is what I hoped LFS would be, but apparently not :( If/when you have something published somewhere, I'd be interested in seeing it!
@tost@Moon@helene You mean like with descriptions and everything so others can follow along and do it? If so, I unironically want to try that (but not now and maybe not soon)
