It's nice that some people are using LinkedIn as a refuge from Twitter, but I find its algorithm has the highest chance of throwing "Oh, just *fuck off*" tab closing content into my face between info from people I care about. So, I probably miss an awful lot from people I'd like to see posts from.

Nice to see a new bookshop in #Brighton! "The Last Bookshop" is on Gardner Street in the North Laine and has lots of books about half RRP.

I picked up a couple of SF Masterworks and will be back soon for some Wodehouse (I really need to make a list of which of those I've read.)

Ah, the joy of having the experience to look at a timed update to some web pages and think "Ah, will the cache stop this working" and find out yes, indeed, the cache will stop this update showing at the right time.

Now working out three pairs of timed updates - an if in a page, and some code to clear the cache at the right time (and not just before the if triggers)

Automated "Malware" warning from host for two sites. One's a static site, looked through it, no files changed or new files since my last edits. Nothing dodgy in any files. Now looking through other one.

After some awkward back and forth with them over something else recently for a client, I'm starting to think I'll need to find a new host. What a pain.

@scribe I always think it means uncontrolled as the only context I hear it in is "prices spiralling out of control." I'm sure some people use it differently, I've worked with people who've mangled all kinds of sayings.
