Japan is in a serious downward spiral. But weirdly, the stock market is booming because so much of the revenues of its publicly listed companies come from their overseas subsidiaries. Weak yen means "more" yen-based earnings and higher yields for shareholders.
The upper echelons of its society are living better than never. They have no desire to change the status quo.

Taxes paid by us, the little people, subsidize billionaires and now a trillionaire. Our mutual funds will also be raided by the giant IPOs. Meanwhile, so many Americans live day to day. Many cannot even afford to see medical doctors.

Biden and Netanyahu started the ongoing genocide in Gaza. There's been no penalty. Europe supported it. Germany and UK brutally suppressed their own citizens speaking up for human rights. Now Trump and Netanyahu want to start a genocidal campaign (= elimination of a civilization) in Iran. Politicians like #starmer #merz #macron #vonderleyen are all culpable. Pretending they have nothing to do with the war against Iran won't cut it. They playef a role in undermining international law & norms.

European leaders--Macron, Merz and Starmer--are culpable of the current mess in Iran, Lebanon and the Gulf Region. If they had cooperated with ICC, Netanyahu would have been locked away. Extremists in Israel would have become global pariahs allowing more moderate forces to take back the country.
When you support apartheid & genocide, you unleash more violence.

Another Iraq and Syria in the making? Will there be an Iranian refugee crisis? US failed policies don’t affect the US much. The Middle East is a long way away.
