Hope these newcomers remember to respect the customs of their Mastodon elders (people who have been here for six to eight weeks)

For some reason finding it difficult to be sympathetic towards people gleefully sending bad computer generated imitations of artist's own work to them to try and claim they're about to become obsolete.

Think there are many well-intentioned people trying to use "AI" ethically, but the loudest voices are the ones delighting in calling artists obsolete, or ones with full-time non-art jobs telling working artists they want to use it because they'd rather not pay them for labour.
