OpenStreetMap.org is currently offline due to network outage. We are investigating.

UPDATE 11:30am UTC/GMT. Website returning read-only on backup infrastructure. The outage affecting our primary services continues.

Our ISP is currently experiencing an outage in Amsterdam. They are working to repair and currently do not have an ETA. We will continue to monitor.

OpenStreetMap.org will shortly be available READ-ONLY. You will unfortunately NOT be able to save any map edits. We will be running on our backup infrastructure in Dublin. We are working to restore full services and we are waiting for our ISP to restore services in Amsterdam.

The server has now been retired, and the imagery services have moved to new hardware in Amsterdam. ⚡

🚀 After 18 years on Ubuntu, we've upgraded the @openstreetmap servers to Debian 12 (Bookworm). 🌍 https://www.openstreetmap.org/ is now faster using Ruby 3.1. Onward to new mapping adventures! Thank you to the team for the smooth transition. #OpenStreetMap #Debian 🤓

Unfortunately from today you can no longer login to OpenStreetMap.org using a Facebook login. Facebook introduced new requirements to use the feature, but despite us submitting the required documents & reaching out to them they were unable to verify us before the deadline.
