I have had a #bluesky account for a bit but had never used it. I posted a few things on there and followed a bunch of people. It's a smooth UX but I have questions: - I immediately felt like I was (back) in a bubble of left-wing political commentary / clickbait. Most of it not from anyone I started following. Is this an algo thing or is that just the makeup of the user base right now? - What is its enduring value prop other than 'it's not twitter'? What are your experiences?
I'll shut up about this after this rant but WHY does everything have to be an APP? Book a hair appointment --> please download our app! Complaint to the city? Download our app! Park? Download our app! Doctor's appointment? DOWNLOAD OUR APP!!!!!
No! 😠 If it wasn't for Lyft / Uber and banking I would seriously consider not having a smartphone at all.
