@gamingonlinux we're going to be announcing dates for @LAS soon. We would love to get some talks on gaming - would be great to reach out to game devs to put in a talk and talk about Linux and gaming and their experiences. Maybe even think of panel ideas etc.
You might find @mixpost interesting as an organization. It's a one time cost for 1 year of updates, and you can choose after that to renew or not. It's also "open core". The free version isn't very interesting but does let you use multiple mastodon accounts unlike postiz. It also has a better process for teams to have editorial process.
@manualdousuario@cassidy@jsparber turned me on to postiz (https://postiz.com) which looks good for a personal social media manager. If you self host it is free (so far). I got it working for bluesky and mastodon.
The big problem with it is that it is really centered around AI workflow. :P
@manualdousuario@cassidy I used buffer for LAS and I did not enjoy the experience. Let's just say that it had some bugs and also only (withotu advertising) allowed 3 days of posting and sometimes it wasn't reliable.
We're looking for some fine folks who would be willing to host Linux App Summit in April 2026 specifically we are looking for countries in Europe. If you're interested in hosting, please DM me. :)
@thatonecalculator@Subrote the problem with revolutions is that you're not quite sure who ends up being in control afterwards. History is a great guide - because replacing one system doesn't mean the system that replaces it is any better.
@charli_gremlin@Subrote@thatonecalculator I feel and share your frustration with the system. I'm not sure I can make any argument that would sway you that a revolution creates uncertain outcomes and many would not be prepared for what happens afterwards.
@Gargron Man, I'm more worried about what happens when all commercial interests start knocking on your door looking for ways to commercialize all this.
@Gargron much love and support to you from all of us - I can well imagine that it's been a very difficult week for you. Do you have some kind of patreon page so that we can help with any finances?
