Christ, I think my heart stopped for a while there. I was stopped at traffic lights. A kid - maybe 8 or 9 comes bombing out of a side street on his bike just before the lights changed. A Nissan micra coming in the opposite direction to me saw the lights change and didn’t slow down. I’m sat there watching the kid and the car heading right for each other. Talk about seeing the world in slow motion. I’m literally shouting “nooooo” like some meme gif.
The car hits the kid…

But because the kid was turning to go in the same direction as the car that hit him, and the micra’s bumper is low, he basically fell into the gutter without too much force. Woman from the car obviously looked distraught but kid got up quickly and seemed fine if shook.

Completely flattened Jaffa cake bars seem to be the only casualty of the international travel.
