@PublicLewdness DDG and Qwant are mostly interchangeable in terms of features but have slightly different marketing focuses. I've used SearX a bit but my preferred solution is to maintain a list of custom SE shortcuts and domain-specific search shortcuts and use different ones for different purposes. For generalist search, I use a mix of DDG-Lite, Peekier, Startpage, Brave Search, and Mojeek. But have been using more domain-specific searches and fun projects like Marginalia.
I compared DuckDuckGo Lite and Qwant Lite, and in so doing noted an annoying way in which Qwant Lite handles links.
