@lina Twitter still is censor happy, just that it now applies both ways occasionally.

@lina The fedi would have helped get around much of the censorship that sites like Twitter, Reddit, etc. started to impose. Even calling someone "fatherless" could get you banned from Twitter.

All other alternatives were centralized and got attacked with webhosting and DNS providers pulling the plug. Basically the precursor to the backbone blocking websites like we see with Kiwi Farms.

Eh, IMO cum.salon got what was coming to them when they doxxed someone. Doxxing can lead to actual problems, notably with people cyberstalking and calling up employers and shit. Y'know, like cancel culture bitches from birdsite (now X).

Not saying that it's good policy on Porkbun's part, but I think people have had enough of doxfags.

@lina Perhaps. I’m more worried about Cum Salon and Detroit Riot City bullying them.

With Xwitter cracking down on lolicon, this place would be a perfect refuge if it wasn't for the politics problem.

For having dumb opinions about certain topics, he was spot on with companies using security systems to remove user control over devices. (Locked bootloaders, etc.)

RMS was right about everything, and firmware TPMs are possible backdoors.

    Let's argue about that.

Though I think most people worry about bus memory access. However, this can be mitigated with proper IOMMU protection.

They should be more worried about Intel ME, and to a limited extent, AMD PSP, if they wanna be that tinfoil about it.

Mac also has secure enclave black boxes. Won't change unless RISC-V enters the market. Even then, commercial software vendors are the biggest hurdle.

The only OSes available for RISC-V are basically the ones based on the Linux kernel.

Even when it does, Linux would most likely be your only option. (Why would Microsoft want to make an OS that could end up running on non-Pluton infested shit?)
