And finally: A looong glide (plus two thermals) from the Weissmies peak (4017m) down to Domodossola (240m).

That flight took a bit of planning. The direct route over Passo di Pontimia would have been shorter, but the Valle di Bognanco looks pretty unlandable. So we took the slightly longer route via Passo d'Andolla and the Valle d'Antrona.

Along the route, we chose checkpoints where we need a certain altitude to safely continue flying towards Villadossola. Additionally, we memorized a few emergency landing spots based on satellite imagery and other maps that were in glide range along the route.

All 5 of us reached the official landing zone between Domodossola and Villadossola with a big smile! After eating gelato, we took the train back to Switzerland.

Ja, STEG war bekannter, aber hatte im Gegensatz zu Techmania und PCO eher hohe Preise. Habe selten da eingekauft (obwohl ich in Velo-Reichweite eine Filiale hatte).

Bei einem #Salewa-Zelt, welches ich vor 10 Jahren für 230 CHF gekauft habe, ist seit einiger Zeit die Lasche für die obere Zeltstange kaputt. Ich habe den Salewa-Service angefragt, ob ich das irgendwo reparieren lassen kann, und was das kostet.

Es wird kostenlos repariert. Toller Service gegen Wegwerfkultur! 👏
