@bmacDonald94 I survived the Humboldt fire in Paradise, barely, evacuating when the flames lapped at the fenceline. The house remained standing, but the writing was on the wall.I sold and escaped the area not long before the Camp fire razed the entire town. I visited the old place a year ago. All that remained was a line of metal fencing and a basketball hoop. Been watching the fires in SoCal with horror and a little PTSD. Stay safe, Bill. ❤️

@mastodonmigration Lists are the coolest. A little cumbersome, but like anything, after using it for awhile it becomes second nature to add, sort, delete, refine. Sometimes when I'm feeling particularly vulnerable, I don't go to the home feed at all. I just go to the lists where I can count on a friendly voice, a poem, a recipe, a book recommendation, a discussion of the nature of the cosmos.

@bmacDonald94 I lay in my bed and listened to this and felt the bands across my chest begin to relax for the first time in a week, then started to cry, and thought, at least they can't take this away.

I'm having trouble concentrating. Was reading the Luna series but after Nov 5 I can't seem to track players and events. My brain still needs diversion, but shorter and less dense. After I finish the Inspector Porfiry Rostnikov series and the Pop Larkin Chronicles, what should I read? I already powered through the Brother Cadfael books.

Headache every day for the past three weeks. I suspect a new med I started taking the day the headaches started. Called the doc and quit taking it this morning.
