@floby @forgejo We wanted a tool that's open and community driven (with no "for profit" entity behind it). We prefer to donate or contribute directly to a project, maybe even take part in its governance. That's opposed to services which come with a long TOS explaining how they'd monetise our code in ways we don't expect. Forgejo is a fork of Gitea for similar reasons and it also happens to be very lightweight and easy to setup. I hope that we can stick with it for a couple of years, at least 😅.

Progress update: Half way through the migration of all our repositories from GitHub to our self-hosted @forgejo 🤩.

While the physical files are getting transferred, I took the time to create Forgejo runners on all older Macs at the office, so it can run "practically-instant" workflows for both ARM and x86 stuffs including iOS and macOS 😍.

hey folks, do you have a favourite GitHub action for building Xcode projects?

I'm looking for something easy to add to a the CI pipeline of @tootsdk so our iOS and Catalyst examples are checked during PRs.

If a probe launched 46 years ago can get regular software updates even at 18 light hours away from Earth, surely there is a way to figure out how to update phones, mass produced less than a decade ago.

@aral Mozilla really missed an opportunity to remind the world their slogan is not just marketing but they decided to go GitHub anyway. Nothing against GitHub but it’s the opposite of “fair and open” and “people powered”.

@aral Just this week I was looking for the character limit ... it meeds me to edit ruby files to change it 😅. It would be great if Masto borrows inspiration from other flavours like Akkoma/Pleroma where settings like this are accessible and easy to toggle.
