Fun Fact!

So the USB cable on my Keysight 82347B (don't worry, I got it for like 25 bucks on ebay, not the 700+ it normally goes for :v) is failing

Which normally would be a big bummer, gotta replace it, but the keysight engineers were very thoughtful, and internally it's just plugged into a port on the board, so I can just swap cables, ez-pz,

This might just be me being a joyless communist, but I think that all technical standards should be freely accessible.

Or even as a "middle" ground, all withdrawn, superseded, and "no-longer-relevant" ones should be released into the public domain.

I'm still aghast that the Automated Clearing House in the U.S. is backed by moving bundles of virtual punch cards over FTP.

I don't see many KiCad projects with detailed notes in the board files or schematic, which is kinda sad because it's a great way to keep notes for reference and important design descriptions.

My KiCad schematics and board files are absolutely littered with notes, with things from calculations for things to why things are done they way they are.

I wish more people would do it, makes things easier on everyone.

Dear application developers, please *please* **please** stop throwing garbage into `~` we have `.cache`/`.config`/`.local` for a good reason, I don't need your garbage polluting my home directory making things a huge pain, thanks.

Does anyone know of any decently lightweight PDF readers for Linux?

I like Okular but it using 8 GiB of ram when I have a handful of data sheets open is kinda absurd (granted they all are in the 500-2000 page count but still)

@esden Yeah, a lot of places have been using discord for that stuff.

And not just that it's temporary, it's also impossible to search in/for.
