@futurebird Other: we were offered a free year of virtual PT through our insurance. My first "visit" was with someone over the phone, but all subsequent consultants were text based. At first it just gave me the exercises and asked me to rate my pain, etc, but then the questions started getting uncanny, asking me to tell them what I liked best, what exercises worked best for what, and none of it was conversational anymore. I stopped answering when I realized I was training the app.

@cavyherd @futurebird I feel like at this point, all "Free virtual ____" is either shitty AI or shitty AI training.

I'm not sure my fascination with liminality is simply that. I thinks it's more "the space after" than "the spaces between." I can point to Bradbury's "There Will Come Soft Rains" as maybe my introduction to the concept, but I think the pandemic really set it off (coincidentally enough, the poem of the same name was written during the 1918 pandemic).
More musings later, but for now I must rejoin society (bleurgh).

Serious question regarding the Pacific Northwest: Are there any parts that are not a forward facing liberal utopia hiding a sinister racist horror town? In searching for a place to move, Seattle sounded nice and came up with a decent walkable score, but all the news I'm hearing out of there is heinous with regards to black and brown lives. Portland has always been pretty terrible at hiding their racism. Is there anything I'm missing? It should I look elsewhere?
