@allison A few years back, I saw one of those guys streaming by pointing a webcam at his computer monitor, and I couldn't help but notice he was still using Windows XP. I suppose 0.106 would feel more responsive on it than a more recent version.

@allison For the longest time, Wolf 0.106 was the only MAME version Twin Galaxies allowed the use of, and some of the older less tech-savvy arcade guys have decided to stick with it, even after 18 years.

Honestly, Tatsujin Ou's stage design never bothered me. Is it a slow game? Sure. Is it repetitive? Maybe a little, but I don't know, man. It's the type of repetition that my brain enjoys.
I'm more just baffled by how amazingly jank it is, but I never heard western players talk about that. That was something I only discovered once I started going for my own 1-ALL.

Whoever's keeping that Dollar General understocked is going to get a stern talking to from me.

Always remember to drop several additional coins into the cabinet with the infinitely-looping shmup after you're done with your marathon so the game center doesn't end up replacing it with a 20-minute shmup that doesn't loop.
