@MakBerberovic you're being hyperbolic. Moreover many were killed by Biden and will be killed by Harris. Most decisions in American politics are taken by the bureaucracy that follows a fixed set of laws, the person in charge makes little impact. Moreover, policymaking in general is zero sum, every policy harms some people and benefits others.

@MakBerberovic the point is that those things aren't unambiguously good, they benefit some at the expense of others.

Many of the things touted as "harm reduction" are zero-sum (they benefit some and harm others).

Unions tend to be nationalistic and limit membership to natives. "Universal" healthcare excludes non-citizens, requires immigration restrictions and costs are offset onto uninsured groups. Public transport makes it easier for states to control borders and it's run inefficiently.

Support for such policies typically stems from ignorance on how they work or from favoring certain groups over others (including oneself).

I'll be honest, I think restorative justice is an absolute meme. We can't even implement it when people make bigoted statements on the internet, they usually get banned or disassociated with for good reason, yet people think we'll be able to reform heinous abusers under anarchism.

I'm not saying it's impossible but I think it would account for the minority of cases. I don't believe in prescriptive forms of justice and think it will vary depending on the costs of taking action, but in all likelihood, people who commit the worst offenses would have their identities circulated, get beaten up, or in extreme cases, wind up getting shot.
