Be a writer, a streamer, an artist, a short film maker, a musician, a podcaster, or a blogger. But please don't be a "content creator." You're worth more than that.

I'm seeing endless "oh TERFs must think that women have a natural disadvantage at chess" dunks and I'm tired of it. This has nothing to do with anything except that they hate us and want to exclude us from as many spaces as possible. They just want us dead.

They will play at arguing about "fairness" in physical sports, but that is just a mask for hate. Once you've engaged in debate with these people you have already lost. In this instance (chess), there isn't even a mask, it's just a hate policy.

For me, the fediverse succeeding is not about mass adoption of ActivityPub at all costs, its about more people adopting the values of the fediverse. This is where we went because we were tired of having our social lives controlled by the whims of billionaires. We wanted control over our digital lives. We wanted privacy.

Being excited that the billionaires have their sights set on the fediverse is abandoning the reason we came here to begin with.
