@thomasfuchs @purinkle Again, I respect your position and opinion, but it is my belief that those outcomes are either not realistic or they imply a bigger threat to the stability/viability of the project. I don't think we can complain that DHH's personal rants are endangering the community or preventing people from using Rails, while at the same time suggesting that a project fork would not do more damage overall to the exact same concerns.

However, what is the desired outcome of expecting everyone to do the same? The logical conclusion of all Rails Core members leaving is that we are left with a framework that's lost all its highest context & highest contributing members, but still led by a person whose views haven't changed & continues to write the same things on his blog. I don't believe that is the best outcome for all.
