you know how people buy car parts.. well is there anything i can look at for my issue regarding needing a steering rack? or is this all internal?

we’re experiencing another strong storm system coming though. I think a lot of folks are experiencing some flashbacks from our bad storm from almost two weeks ago.

for those who are new, hey there, i’m a licensed masters level social worker. I meet with clients for therapy sessions. I ask for mutual aid because I only get paid once a month. I’m not an hourly employee. i am only paid per session.

my pay next is only going to cover half my bills. I have two left from last month and all of them for July. 0/745

experiencing a tornado here in my town. it just hit my apartment. we have no power.

after the first few main events/ holidays without them, if you’re like me, you stop counting. per usual, missing my dad extra hard today but that’s okay. he’s in a better place 🕊️

I had no therapy sessions with clients this week. earlier this week, one client was taken off my case load, the other cancelled. I added my most recent pay to what I owe, leaving me with nothing. i still need to raise $400, plus late fees.

another day, another way the house of reps seek to negatively impact single mother’s, and families.

called the social work board —

per the issue with clinical supervision, a lpcc-s cannot supervise a msw, lsw, who is working towards independent licensure. I figured as much.

I will have to find a lisw-s somewhere else. so many lisw-s now charge for hourly supervision. I get it, but for me, that is not reasonable right now. will have to do more research and see where this leads. 🌀

yesterday I did an assessment with a client who reported that within the last month “they wished that they could go to sleep and not wake up the next day”.. so on top of doing the initial assessment, I made a safety plan with them, went over local resources, support systems, assessed risk factors, protective factors, and completed the cssrs assessment… yet was scolded because an hour assessment was too long. “we talked about this”

was I supposed to act like I didn’t hear that..

my independent supervisor has taken on another role and will no longer be able to see for clinical hours toward my licensure. she did not inform me. the person taking her position isn’t a social worker, so they can’t do it. this weeks hours toward it were canceled. i addressed issue with lack of hours, and somehow this is my issue.. ok, lovely 😞

@steter i just sob listening to this. i just can’t believe there’s no help in sight. no relief for us, especially for those most vulnerable. we are a failed state

hey there, I’m a licensed social worker, needing help with obtaining professional liability coverage as it’s required by my company because I provide therapy.

i haven’t received a first pay from them yet so it’s coming at a very bad time. i know, shocker. anyways, I’ve looked at two quotes, both around $120 to get started. need asap

my moms is finally back home from the rehab where she was receiving physical therapy. I took a long uber drive to her home, got her in safely, and then used her car to go get her meds. It’s so nice to see her home.

today is also the first day I have driven all year. reminds me how being indoors so much is not good for the mental health.

met with my third client to complete their assessment. I have a ton of documentation to complete before I can turn it in. thankfully we are given a said amount of time to finish our notes.

i haven’t eaten anything today. that assessment began at 11am and went until 1pm. my stomach is screaming

I recently began my first licensed job as a clinician, completing assessments, initial treatment plans and diagnosis (under a LISW-s). Pay is once a month, and we are only paid per assessment, not hourly. any help between now and the 10th, is appreciated for food items, small bills, etc.
