all web browsers should be open source. there's no good reason to lock your code down. the way you browse the web should be open and inspectable, just like how the web was designed to be.

i miss developers calling their software companies after themselves like "bobsoft". now it's like "pulsemode" or some combination of nouns. where did we go wrong
i feel like folks are forgetting that racial/ethnic minority groups can be transphobic and trans folks can be racist because of how we all exist in this racist, transphobic world
i remember one time at best buy some dude upsold my parents a copy of #microsoft office because i mentioned that we could just run #libreoffice for free (it wasn't that great back then, to be fair).
but i'll always remember the wording he used. that office wasn't "made by some dude in his basement", so it was inherently better.
you know what? i'm some dude in my basement. i trust other dudes in their basements. we're all dudes in our basements. you, reading this. you're a chill entity in a basement, probably. i'd rather use #opensource basementware than corporate garbageware.
been reviewing people's code test submissions for hiring at my job and wow some folks will really just type anything into a computer and think that'll get them a job huh
