For those not familiar with the Baltimore beltway, the bridge that collapsed is directly part of the East loop of the beltway so this is a major piece of infrastructure that is now destroyed. The ripple of affects from this will not only affect those of us who reside locally but with the current shut down of the Port of Baltimore, major supply chains will also be further affected than they already were. There is a reason this is international news and not just a local issue.

@killick There are some forks of Mastodon like Glitch and Hometown that offer "local only" posting, but if your server is running the main Mastodon code, then no. It's public, unlisted, or only mentioned.
