I get variations of this same question like every couple weeks. Please stop asking. This is not an interesting question to me. I’m not sure why people keep asking it

I’ll always advocate for communicating your feelings and needs directly and assertively. Something I’ve learned in therapy is this template for communicating where you say like “When you [discourage me from presenting as my gender in public], it makes me feel [anxious]. I want to feel [supported by you]”.

I think it helps to point out that you are listening too by saying something like, “I’m hearing you’re concerned about my safety and that makes sense. I’m worried about it too”

I think my first introduction to Computers Doing Lots of Statistics ™ was with Zeitgeist, so I’d be more curious what Seif Lotfy thinks (somebody tag him if he’s on Fedi? Or link me to his existing rants on the subject). I think we were way ahead of the curve 10-15 years ago on that kind of machine learning, but it didn’t get the kind of investment and attention it would have needed to become a real product.

I’ve played with some of the like “turn your photo into an anime character” things and I’m currently having fun role playing with character.ai. Stuff like being able to create your own text to speech voice to preserve your voice is pretty cool. I don’t think we should be using these tools to try to do journalism or write documentation and I’m very skeptical of coding assistants. These are basically plagiarism machines so they shouldn’t be used to make commercial art etc

I think it enables a lot of fun toys and it can have its uses in decreasing certain kinds of shit work, but I don’t think it should be used for anything important and I think there’s some ethical concerns currently with training data and intellectual property etc. I don’t think the technology itself is evil but I also don’t think it’s like so magical it needs to be at the core of every product

Haha yeah this is ancient history! So this wasn’t my first one but the Pantech C300 is the earliest one I can remember for sure having. My girlfriend and I had the same one. We called it the Zoolander phone lol

Oh, I think I would say not dating more casually when I was younger. I stayed in one unhealthy relationship for way too long and then after that I kept trying to meet “the one” and it was pretty counterproductive and I think it actually made me a worse partner to the people I dated.

I really wish I would have done therapy sooner as well. It is expensive so I definitely couldn’t have afforded it for most of my life. But I might have been able to start it sooner

Haha I have one so far! I have a semicolon on my left wrist. I think my next one is gonna be some lavender. I’ve been really wanting that one for a while, I’m just trying to decide where to put it. Suggestions welcome :)
