@kaia@brotka.st If anyone's wondering, the commentator was excitedly making light of the situation by cheering to the point he eventually was asking for the dog to score a goal.
@ 0:12He wants to play! LET THE DOG SCORE! LET THE DOG SCORE! yea take it away. You can hear a bit of the talking to a pet voice leaking out because he just did not have energy to cheer louder due to the adorableness twisting his vocal chords, but he tried, I think.
Below you were asking if videos would have engagement, but I'm pretty sure this thing is not frequented much outside of USA far-right individuals and some FOSS enthusiasts. [You need to go into a site that actually has moderation to avoid the former. That far-right is obsessed with absolutist free speech.]
The issue with video platforms is that they use too much traffic, so unless you can figure out the resources to pull off a service, you can't do much. The only other potential site I know is Rumble but when I entered the site I was bombarded with US politics and they also have a "truth.social" account, so I have no trust whatsoever.
If you want a video platform that works as large social media then YouTube and TikTok are the only decent alternatives.
Otherwise, either self-host or find an instance that is reliable enough for you.
@miles@snug.moe i don't ever use blobcats. but go to misskey.io; they gave him a nickname and he is introduced to all newcomers, as a mascot and representative of their spirit
@Pawlicker@bae.st that's downright obsessive. why the fuck would you try to be the most popular visual artist instance and procceed to block the most popular one, after blocking every instance you can possibly justify
that's going to the point of insanity and clearly could make massive damage to the network
@Pawlicker@bae.st what's the reputation status on mastodon.art? "i use it because everybody is here"? " going somewhere else makes me prone to being cancelled"?
Avatar and banner will change over time, non-periodically. They'll be taken from random music releases that look the way I like. Only approved music gets the honor
