I'm watching The Handmaid's Tale for the first time, and I kind of knew what it was about, but blimey, it really feels like the US have seen it as a blueprint rather than a warning.

Only just done the first season, but not too sure I'll manage the rest as it'll be difficult to seperate it from the #USpol news....

The victimisation of Haitians by #Trump and #MAGA is not random. The US Right - and white supremacists in general - have never forgiven Haiti for liberating themselves. As the first large scale Black revolutions against an Imperial power, #Haiti will always be subject to racist rhetoric and violent oppression.

Funny how since #GretaThunberg started talking about how the #ClimateCrsis is linked to the ills of #capitalism, and actually engaged in activism advocating for it's undoing, suddenly she's nowhere to be seen on TV, Davos, the UN etc etc.

OK Masto, I need your help....

I'm trying to find out about a social experiment that took place in Mechelen, Belgium that essentially took a small park and divided it up into smaller sections and gave the land to residents by lottery. The residents could then decide what to do with the land; either use it themselves or join up to do something together.

I THINK the architects 51N4E were involved and the park in question was Tinel Park, but I'm not sure.

Anyone out there know??
