There are two ways you can make little happy accidents while programming cue sequences in Ardour: arbitrarily choosing between two follow actions or using a multi-jump. Here is how you do that:

Let's get back to basics of how cues work. Ardour provides several options that define how a clip is triggered, when it starts playing after you trigger it, and whether it responds to triggering the playback of an entire cue it belongs to

A really neat side effect of working on better MIDI velocity editing is that the next version is coming with freehand automation drawing. Pressing Ctrl enables straight lines, you can press it on/off and keep drawing, no need to stop. Patch by @PaulDavisTheFirst

The next version of Ardour will be shipping with three arpeggiator plugins by Albert Gräf. That's the kind of add-ons you can develop for Ardour in Lua :)

Some of our users work only with audio material like podcast episodes, so it makes sense that they should be able to negotiate percentages rather than semitones when they use vari-speed :) Here is a quick fix from @PaulDavisTheFirst coming in the next release

New behavior option: multiple selected tracks can now be temporarily treated as a group, so you can adjust e.g. faders by the same amount. This is an opt-in feature, coming in the next release. Patch by @PaulDavisTheFirst
