IF Trump loses,
THEN there had better be a comprehensive post-mortem over American journalistic practices.And not a facile redux like, “Oh, Mike Barnicle said ‘this guy’s nuts!’ and the dam finally broke.” No.
Because if Trump wins, there’ll be more urgent problems than sorting this mess.

SUBCHAPTER A. ADMINISTRATIVE PENALTIESSec. 165.159. PRACTICING MEDICINE WITHOUT REGISTRATION. (a) A person commits an offense if the person practices medicine without complying with the registration requirements imposed by this subtitle.
(b) An offense under Subsection (a) constitutes the offense of practicing medicine without a license.
Now, Ken Paxton's "practicing medicine" in TX requires charging money or other compensation for a diagnosis, treatment, etc., but why should rules apply? And why not find an indirect charge, a negative compensation, caused by the state's transferring the burden and risk?
