My mother-in-law, then 78 years old, died of Covid on this date three years ago.
Johnson's response to the pandemic was always knowingly callous. We don't need an inquiry to make that call, but I will never not be angry that his mishandling of the crisis caused so much grief, so much misery, and so much death.

At the urging of @BeebsyMcA I'm now interrupting my tangent about inadvertently disturbing UK ad spots with one where the intention was to disturb. So, CW for guns and violence.
This was an ad-spot broadcast on Northern Irish TV in the late 80s - promoting an anonymous anti-terrorism tip-line.
It's a really effective spot, notably for a pre-Tarantino juxtaposition of a Golden Oldie with distressing violence.
