Did a little upgrade (desktop only atm) to make our search system for @gamingonlinux more useful, now with suggestions...

Got one of the kiddos into Dead by Daylight now.

Me on Steam Machine, kiddo on Steam Deck and Mrs on PC.

Good fun.

I am of the opinion that if your website depends on a single social media website like X, your website sucks.

Wonderful, was supposed to attend a press briefing today.

Uses Microsoft Teams....won't accept my Live login, errors out on using my work email with a sign-in code 🙃

Amazing tech, truly.

IT IS WEDNESDAY MY DUDES

I remember the days where I could almost name every game release coming out, now I keep seeing games hitting 10s of thousands of players and I've never ever heard of them 😂

Whenever I am under Embargo, I check the date and time about 100 times throughout the day to ensure I don't goof up 😂

It's my birthday tomorrow *taps the wishlist*: https://store.steampowered.com/wishlist/profiles/76561197987942764/?sort=releasedate&deck_filters=verified&categoryids=102658&st=13036297942212323217 👀

Perfect

God damn it’s small

Why is lock screen not an option on the #KDE Plasma CTRL+ALT+DELETE screen?

Seems like a weird thing to miss.

@Cheeseness @gamingonlinux yeah others in the UK seem to take like a week

Thanks to a pal (love you), I should hopefully have a Steam Machine here for @gamingonlinux by the start of next week, depending on how long packing and delivery from Valve take.

Today in a nutshell:

123 bugs in the code, fix 1 bug, fix another bug...and another, fuck it broke...fix that...124 bugs in the code

How am I supposed to work like this huh #CatsOfMastodon

My little stupid idea people originally laughed at me for is nearly a full adult.

I’m at a complete loss.

@gamingonlinux sees random 500 errors, but only while behind Cloudflare proxy

Any web admins got any tips? No php or sql errors.

It’s no wonder sites struggle now, as I checked Cloudflare detections that showed 379.22K AI bot requests hitting @gamingonlinux just in the last 24 hours

Turned angry Reddit “feedback”comments into something useful.

@gamingonlinux will (going forwards) have all external source links in a simple list at the bottom of all articles.

I wrote a system to do it automatically. Can either manually add them, or it automatically picks them up from links inside the article text.

No hunting for source links - you’ll know exactly where to go.

Are we finally done with the summer gaming events? It’s just ridiculous.

Sony, then Summer Game Fest with numerous events in it, and Nintendo today too.

All in the space of what - two weeks?

I find it silly all together, no breathing room for announcements.
