Alt Text on images are much appreciated, many of us won't boost posts without them, we like to make sure those who need them can enjoy content too.

Boosting posts helps a lot with how content discovery here works.

Hashtags are also very useful. Using them at the end of your post, instead of mixed in with the body of your text is the best way to use them, this makes it easier with assistive technologies such as screen readers.

People are friendly here, but no one wants to be harassed. If you disagree with someone over something, try to be kind about it.

There's no need to act like folks do on Bird Site. Most of us are here not because Twitter melted down today or last November, but because we genuinely appreciate many of the differences between the platforms and how we treat each other here.

Follow people, follow hashtags & ask questions if something is unclear. Enjoy the new adventure! ❤️

So for the past week i've been sharing one image per day on Pixelfed.Social, the dev's instance.

And each day my photo shared has ended up in the top trending photographs for the entire instance.

But today i just posted an image and this happened.

Not sure if his instance is having spam issues today but this is a first. I hope my photo gets shared there, i don't see why it wouldn't after review.

@glitchead @pixelfed I'm really bummed to hear this. I thought it was a great project and i really enjoyed the time i spent there.

Obviously this isn't something that is useful for photographers sharing their works and wanting to actually be included in the fediverse.

Mastodon seems like a better choice moving forward.

@glitchead @pixelfed I'm removing it from my Linktree links. I know photographers all around the world and the last thing i want is to be promoting something that doesn't work well for consistently sharing photography.

It was one of several sites i use, but some photographers are really needing a space that functions and time spent on any site can be a big deal.

That should absolutely be considered when using or promoting any platform as an artist.
