This creeps me out, actually.

The ESA Proba-3 mission, launched on Dec 5, 2024, consists of 2 spacecraft - the Coronagraph Spacecraft (CSC) and the Occulter Spacecraft (OSC), which will fly together in a 19.7 hour orbit. The OSC's 1.4m disk will eclipse the Sun, while the CSC, 150m away, will observe the Sun’s corona for 6h per orbit.

The 2 spacecraft will autonomously maneuver themselves using thrusters and align to within 1 mm accuracy, using radio links, cameras, lasers and other sensors.

It's also disgusting the only way to be 100% free from being advertised to is indeed to be dead. Coma? Probably not. Your brain is probably still affected by nearby TVs and phones playing ads in the hospital.

To look at a different example:

"Medical transition has made me happier in my body" is a great part of foundation.

But if its your -only- stool leg, you could come to the conclusion "so i have a mental illness / medical condition which needs to be treated but that doesnt mean my gender identity is real".

Made it to 3 rallies across Westchester, NY, today and logged 11,000 steps. Someone gave me a flag, so I have now waved a flag on Flag Day! Good turnout in each place and enthusiastic honking from the cars passing by. Time for some ice cream now. 🇺🇲

I'm a little tired of hearing people confuse a dropping birthrate with increasing childlessness. They are not the same thing. And hearing that it's education and economic freedom that lead to childlessness.

Historically, in lots of places and at various times, childlessness among women has been higher than it is now.

Because of poverty. Because of a lack of men (wars). Because of a lack of health care. And for (probably) the same number as today, a lack of interest among a fairly small cohort of women.

In some places, and at various times, *lower* education and incomes have been more closely associated with childlessness. This the case right now in some places.

Because kids are expensive. Because women with low incomes and poor education are more likely to have been (historically and now in some places) working in other people's houses and unable to marry. Because poorer women can't access IVF and other fertility care. Because poorer men are more likely to be in military service or incarcerated.
