@consumablejoy @blogdiva @LilPecan I know people from Central America who has been to the US as illegal migrants. They save money to build a house and start a small business, come back to their country, then marry and continue with their lives. They're not "on a mission" with some company but they're in a temporary situation as well, working for big bakeries or in restaurant's kitchens. And they're not called "expats", because they're not from a rich country.

@seanbala I don't know about the boosts. It does delete my comments/ messages that I haven't liked.

@rl_dane always indoors and in crowded places (or with people who don't respect my personal space). In open places and with few people, not so much as before. But I always carry a mask with me in case I want to go inside or more people show up.

La casa donde vivo tiene un almendro que tira muchas hojas (cada par de días toca barrer a fuerzas el patio) y caen un poco en la acera también. Barro la acera pero menos seguido, digamos una vez por semana. Pero este barrio es de viejitos pensionados que no tienen mucho que hacer entonces esperan mucho de esas cosas. El otro día una vecina me dijo que había gente super desconsiderada que no barría su acera y yo me hice como que no era conmigo jaja

I love Cw and I use it sometimes, but I don't appreciate people coming to lecture me on how to use it. @Brendanjones Do you know if mastodon will add the possibility to limit who replies to a post? For example in a public post you could decide that only mutuals can reply.

@fullfathomfive I've contributed a lot to Google maps. I would like to contribute to open street maps but I think it's less intuitive. I definitely have to read to figure out how.

I've noticed that private comments made in mastodon doesn't show up in my #pixelfed account even if I follow those accounts on Pixelfed. Is it a bug? @pixelfed @dansup

We just saw a movie called Living. It's based on a Kurosawa movie (inspired by a Tolstoï book) so I thought I would like it. Of course it's full of bureaucracy and grey characters but the film is really inspiring and Bill Nighy does a good part. At the end of the movie, you are left thinking about your own life and what really matters. #Living #MovieRecommendation
