@strongerthanyou Okay this is a far cooler story than I had first thought. Thanks for taking time out and letting me in on it all. Cats can be such murderous, lovable little bastards. I try not to hold it against them.
Seems your level of care is appropriate. Is she taking food/water at all? -

@Dan_Hulson @strongerthanyou Is why i stick to fish, mostly, these days. though I like fish too as beings unto themselves I also find the tasty and have less of an issue killing and eating them than i do birds, mammals, etc.
It kind of highlights a few of my hypocritical moral grey areas. -

@Zealist @strongerthanyou Same. I believe we are called to, at best, responsible stewardship of life during our time here. There's so much cruelty done to His wonderful works that we need to do what we can to counterbalance this and exceed that, where we can. -

@strongerthanyou You've got mine. Poor thing. you're good to give it some comfort in its final time. If there's a chance of recovery then I'm rooting for that too but from you what said that's sounding very unlikely..
Sorry this sad duty has fallen to you. You're doing it right though, I think. Thank you for doing it, I know how much it sucks. -

@strongerthanyou Not at all hon. I've been there before with animals many times and will again and completely get where you are coming from.
The little I can do from here is pray and say thanks. My heart always goes out to people that treat animals right, and that sadly isn't always about scritches and cuddles. These bits of our relationship with animals are the seriously sucky bits.
I'm here off and on for most of the day now if you want to talk or update. -

@Zealist @owlet @mushroom_soup @sevvie @Eiswald We have a good deal in common in that area then. I wish you many bountiful harvests, certainly sounds as though you're going about it well and with the right mindset. -

@Zealist @owlet @mushroom_soup @sevvie @Eiswald Keeping hens is great, with even a few you'll be swimming in eggs and can take those to the farmers market or go mad into baking.
I'm much the same, everything of value agriculturally and in craft skills that I learned, I dove right on into once my interest was hooked. I think this is the best way if you've got a basic sense of what a potential project is about. -

@Zealist @owlet @mushroom_soup @sevvie @Eiswald It will never got waste if you get to preserving them or trading with others, even giving produce as gifts goes down very well, I've found. -

@Zealist @owlet @mushroom_soup @sevvie @Eiswald You'll have plenty to go on the table then. I wanted to do beans but thought it might be a bit dry for them this year, turns out I was right. I wish i'd done more roots though. -

@Zealist @owlet @mushroom_soup @sevvie @Eiswald Nice, i haven't done anything terribly interesting tomatoes, taters, red currants, lavender and a whole bunch of sunflowers for the birds but that won't amount to much, I'll still end up buying seeds in. i should invest in some planters or make some raised beds. -

@Zealist @owlet @mushroom_soup @sevvie @Eiswald Yeah zucchini's, I'm at full capacity in the garden this year and planting season for them ended earlier this month. I'll do so next year, they're actually quite cool looking when growing so I'll have fun with it, I think. -

@Zealist @owlet @mushroom_soup @sevvie @Eiswald I wonder if any of those would grow here in the UK, marrow will for sure. It's a bit late in the year to start them now but I'll add it to next years planting scheme and can use the marrow for pickle. -

@Zealist @owlet @mushroom_soup @sevvie @Eiswald I've never heard of frying flowr petals I've seen lilac and nasturtiums as food before and rose in some confections but that is interesting. -

@Eiswald @mushroom_soup @sevvie I always thought it looked weird but I thought that's just how some of them look. I ought to have known it was deliberate. Now I'm having flashbacks to the gorilla glue muppet 🤮 -

@Eiswald @mushroom_soup @sevvie Seriously, wtf. This is a subspecies that should have died out for being unable to reproduce for being so butt ugly. Nigger males really must be gay to even think of getting stuck into that.
