I used to recommend mastodon.art for great moderation but honestly, by now i cannot in good conscience recommend it to new people anymore.

They seem to block a lot of instances for very minor reasons and just complaining about it, and like... who do you even see there anymore? like what sort of people are still visible there if everyone is blocked?

Like I completely understand fediblocking assholes, maybe even people that defend those assholes, but mastodon.art is taking it to ridicolous levels. You're not protecting users anymore when you block instances like the absturztau.be ones. You're keeping them away from the wider fediverse.

mastodon.art is going too far. do you even talk to admins before instantly fediblocking them?

I have a feeling i'll appear on their blocklist after this post tho lmao, probably for federating with "the usual scum" or some bs like that lmao

so its that time of the year again where my mental health drops to very critical levels but i refuse to tell anyone becazse of anxiety and bottle it all up bc i dont have time to deal with it huh
