Allow me to remind everyone that I’m a 🇨🇦🇺🇸 citizen. I will not boo the 🇺🇸 anthem but I will remain seated until the 🇨🇦 is sung. I did this during WWE’s Survivor Series event in Vancouver last year and again on my birthday when the Canucks played the Kraken @ Rogers Arena.

I support the booing of the 🇺🇸 anthem from my fellow Canadians.

@zeldasauce I didn’t know portable litter boxes were a thing.

We live in an era when about 86% of ideas get greenlit for production so it can hopefully turn into a billion dollar happy accident (ie: MCU).

We forget that saying “no” because it won’t work (regardless of who sits in the Director’s chair or gets casted as the lead role) is sometimes the best move.

@britt My cousin used to work at the Nordstrom in d/t Vancouver. I showed him a TikTok of his co-workers smashing up the display racks and told him, “why isn’t this a friends and family dealio? I would have asked you if I could sign a waiver and join you & your co-workers for some therapy via Hulk smashing things.”

Man, I remember when he tried out for the Toronto Raptors and suited up for them for a few pre-season games before getting cut (or waived as the cool kids call it).

@britt The tech reviewers are painting it as though this phone will bankrupt Apple (again). It won't. The phone is expensive for a "budget" iPhone but at the acceptance stage of grief, what isn't expensive in the '20s, eh?

My first impressions with the #iPhone16e after upgrading from an #iPhoneXR: It's fine. If you're comparing it to the 16 & 16 Pro models, yes, there is a stark difference & you have every right to blast Apple as to why they didn't put MagSafe in the 16e.

For me, all I really cared about was battery life, can it do normal phone things, and new iOS 18 features I will enjoy that I don't have on my iPhone XR.

Yes, I have a MagSafe charger & it wasn't a dealbreaker that 16e didn't have it. I'm the kind that docks my iPhone at the end of the day & undocks it in the morning.

All in all, I'm satisfied that I have a shiny new iPhone that will provide me with years of new iOS updates.

@majorlinux I feel the same way. If I'm queuing up at the grocery, I have my loyality card in my front pocket so I'm not shuffling in my wallet for them + Apple Pay makes paying fast.

At the buffet line, I'm pretty good at not spending more than 2mins plating the food I'm gonna eat. I'm sure folks wouldn't mind if you're plating food for someone who cannot stand in line (ie, an elder relative or friend).

I would like to see more WNBA & NBA participation. It sucks that the Steph/Sabrina 3pt shootout was a one-off.

Since nothing is off the table, why not have a WNBAxNBA All-Star Game on Saturday night and the NBA All-Star game proper on Sunday night? Have Saturday be a WNBAxNBA night where the best players from both leagues are showcased in skills competition & a friendly match?

I'm 98.9% certain the NBA is watching the NHL's 4 Nations tournament and picking the parts that best work for them (NBA). The NBA will continue to confine the All-Star festivities to a weekend (Fri-Sun). I don't think the NBA wants their ASGs to extend beyond Sunday--that cuts into teams gearing up to qualify for Play-In & chase for premium bracket positions for the Playoffs.
