@FlashMobOfOne I couldn't think of a Millennial version of the word so I am culturally appropriating the GenZ term lol.

Example from Urban Dictionary:
1) true/factual. Used in political slang and used ironically in memes.
2) someone/something that is cool and/or speaks the truth

They say "don't meet your heroes" but I remember when George W. Bush was re-elected and Ron Gilbert's "wtf??" post on grumpy gamer, and even now his Mastodon toots are freaking based, lol.

@FlashMobOfOne I dunno, never seems consistent. Some mornings I'm up at 7 am, sometimes I'm up later, I can't ever plan on feeling energized vs. lethargic, I just kinda have to adapt day-to-day.

Where do I get a hit of happy brain chemicals from, if not from fast food and coffee? (Serious question...)

I want to save more money next year, but eating fast food is such an emotional crutch for me. I can keep some dry foods at work (like easy mac) but ugh... feels like a tug-of-war in keeping my brain content every day. My brain is like a puppy, very treat motivated. :P

Is there an audiobook service that lets you download the actual audio file to listen to offline? I have a cheap cell service so I don't want to stream hundreds of MB of audio on it.

@FlashMobOfOne Somehow they think, even in an advanced level programming course, they can just knock it out the last two weeks. And they really can't. And that's even with all the optional assignments they don't have to complete.

I have so much grading to do. Going to try to get this done tonight so I can work on Christmas Horse tomorrow.

I'm gonna use the "grade one CLASS at a time" strategy, so just grading my CS 200 stuff and getting that done before moving on.

I don't always have emojis in the little grading sheet but I do here for this project, thought it might add some visual representation of their performance.

Generally a 5/5 (100%) on an item means Mastery, 4.5/5 (90%) is satisfactory, 2/5 (less than 50%) means it's not good enough yet, usually just really broken or maybe the interface/code is really ugly.

Different criteria has different grades so for the 8 point one it's 8 points for mastery, 8*0.9, 8*0.5, etc.

I didn't make my CS 200 projects all connect together this semester so next semester I'd like to plan a little better and have it be one program they build up over time.

That just kind of requires me to plan the project before the semester starts, so I know where we end up at, and not be writing the project one at a time as we go through the semester, because I don't always have the foresight to make the design make sense further down the road. xD

When a certain student always turns in projects that have a ton of build errors... 🤦♀️

(It was worse because they keep having "#include "XYZ.h" inside the XYZ.h file, it keeps happening, why does it keep happening???)

Some students waited *way too long* to start catching up, despite all my emails and warnings about it.

@FlashMobOfOne why do they sounds addicted to adopting? 😵💫

Are your siblings okay? My "dad" is my stepdad that adopted me and I never lived up to his expectations so that times a bunch more kids sounds like a recipe for a lot of therapy.

I have 8 siblings but that's across... 5 different adults and I didn't grow up with most of them lollll.

I got home from lunch with Dad and immediately fell asleep for 3 hours if that tells you how draining he is.

Ok today's plan, now that I have a day without plans... Clean out the fridge, move cat boxes, tear out downstairs bathroom lining that isn't protecting the wall from mold, do some crocheting, ???, relax.

And eventually do some game programming, work on my Christmas movie, stream clean the rugs, maybe repaint the concrete basement floor?

I bought a moose blanket. (Not real moose, that would be sacrilegious.) 🫎🫎🫎

Oh no a student got me a condolences gift card to Starbucks, which is on da boycott list. x_x

I love games with a big HUD and the gameplay in a smaller windowwwww.
