Five Florida legislators have flipped their allegiance from Florida Rep Governor Ron DeSantis to former President Donald Trump in the race for the GOP presidential nomination.

In all, Trump gained seven endorsements from state legislators on Saturday, the same day he gave a speech at the Florida Freedom Summit. The five who flipped from DeSantis to Trump include State Reps. Jessica Baker, Webster Barnaby, Alina Garcia, Kevin Steele, and State Sen. Debbie Mayfield.

The same generation quick to declare civil scholars, political commentators, and comedians offensive or even too stressful to hear has released dozens of statements in support of Hamas, an organization whose charter calls for the complete annihilation of Israel.

Today, many Gen Z college students struggle to tolerate those with whom they disagree. As hypersensitivity has grown more acute, their fears and accusations have expanded to the point of hysteria. Some even deploy the “silence is violence” meme, which construes the literal absence of words as tantamount to a physical attack.

Ghazi Hamad, who belongs to Hamas’ political bureau, The New York Post reported, made the statements during a recent interview with a Lebanese TV station.

Black Lives Matter chapters across the country made waves last week when they excused and explained away Hamas’s attack on Israel.

A coalition of 26 local chapters called the attacks a "desperate act of self-defense." The Chicago chapter shared an image glorifying Hamas gunmen on paragliders, before walking it back amid blowback. And the movement’s Phoenix branch praised Hamas "freedom fighters" for their acts of "resistance."

As it turns out, going back decades, Thomas Sowell warned us all about the dangers posed by both Joe Biden’s foreign policy experience and the West’s goal to create “peace” between Israel and Palestine.

This isn't the first time we've seen this happen. Gov. Ron DeSantis made the right move when he brought out enlargements of some of the illustrations in "Gender Queer" at a press conference about his "banning books." Of course, none of the media could show the illustrations on air because they were too graphic.
