I just killed the better part of the day at the Kia dealership getting a recall on my wife's Optima taken care of. In our case, the braking system's electronic hydraulic control unit could short out and - you guessed it - cause the vehicle to self-combust.
@mlanger@clive I don't think the @clive is criticizing those who choose a correctly-sized tool for the job. It's just that many truck drivers don't have such requirements. It's cosplay. Kind of like the industrial oven craze in kitchens a few years back.
I used to own a 2000 Chevy Silverado, which is closer in size to the current Chevy Colorado. Probably all that most suburban folks need.
In related personal news, I may soon be free of #Comcast.
#RightFiber is a regional ISP out of Jonesboro, AR.
I asked a their customer rep if they support bridging their Nokia ONT, since I run my own firewall/router. Her response, "Sure, that's easily done." To be fair to Comcast, they also support bridging. But then I have to put up with their 1.2 TB bandwidth caps and colossally asymmetric 950/25 Mb/s bandwidth, at $20/month more than RightFiber. https://www.rightfiber.com
We've had AT&T symmetric gigabit fiber to our neighborhood for 8 years. But they do not support bridging. You use their firewall. Double NAT if you want. No thanks.
