I think he could have handled it if they told him "You have to do this a certain way, in order to not break the timeline. We promise it all works out."

Honestly, here's how I search my own toots.

I use https://justmytoots.com/

I don't know if @cookie_mumbles is still maintaining it, but it still works! 😎

It is *entirely* opt in, stores nothing of your content, and blocks search engines from crawling it.

It just looks at your server, and displays a current list of your toots.

You can adjust view options like: public only, with replies, or only media.
