October 8: Robin Hood

-A little-mentioned fact about me is that I'm a massive Robin Hood buff. I've seen just about every film and TV adaptation (They range from "Great!" to "That One with Taron Egerton") and am familiar with some of the early ballads the legend is based on (The stories of Robin Hood were originally told through song).

This Robin Hood is an amalgamation of several Robin Hoods I like best, though I omitted the trademark hat.

-Between 1966-67, a mysterious creature terrorized the town of Point Pleasant, WA. With glowing red eyes and a massive wingspan, it cast a fearsome silhouette until December 15, 1967, when the Silver Bridge collapsed and sightings ceased.

What *was* the Mothman? Probably a Sandhill Crane. But other theories include being a US Govt experiment, an alien, and the curse of Chief Cornstalk.

The Golgothan (Dogma)

-This past weekend, my modem died, and, as a result, my internet and IPTV went out. Waiting for a new modem, I dove into my DVD collection and watched Dogma for the first time in what feels like forever! It was one of my favourite movies in my 20s. In tribute, here is the Golgothan, the "Shit Demon." :D
