Turns out that our strategy of building armies of AWS/GCP/Azure Engineers (YAML Engineers) and eliminating real engineers who understood what is going on under all those abstraction layers has backfired badly.
Who would have seen that coming?

I had the chance to work with an all-stars team at DNS Hackathon 2025 in Stockholm. Within less than two days, we agreed on a solution for DNS Resolver warmup challenges, implemented a proof-of-concept in Unbound Resolver, and drafted and submitted an Internet Draft to IETF!
You can find our work (Code, Presentation, and ID) on our GitHub page.

Kudos to @bortzmeyer , @willem and Moin for their invaluable contribution.

An Excruciatingly Detailed Guide To SSH (But Only The Things I Actually Find Useful) · Graham Helton
Welcome We’ve all seen these great diagrams of how SSH port forwarding works but if your brain is anything like mine, these diagrams leave you with a lot of unanswered questions. If you’re on a red team, understanding how to traverse a network better than the people who designed it gives you immense power to do evil things. SSH is such a powerful tool but sometimes the syntax and other concepts can get in the way of us accomplishing our goals.

@thibaultamartin Firefox forcefully re-enables telemetry with every update. Just beware.
There is no such thing as “free” lunch.
