I was feeling quite pleased with myself for acknowledging that I have my *own* game to finish, and then have a ludicrous backlog of games including two whole Star Wars games on the PS5.

So it made no sense for me to get SW Outlaws until I had time to play it. Maturity!

And then Steam lured me in with a couple of sales and a preorder bonus, and the next thing I knew, I’d bought four *other* games. (That I still have no time to play, naturally).

Dumb question but I’ve wondered forever: why do cartoonists draw characters with beards/5 o’clock shadow only around their mouths? Is it supposed to be easier to animate, like 4-finger hands? Where did it start? (I’m assuming Homer & Lenny were referencing The Flintstones).

I don’t want to brag, but I think I just made the most absolute dogshit cake that has ever been created. Pretty much everything that could go wrong did go wrong, from the cake sticking to the pan, to it breaking into pieces, to the “frosting” failing to ever get past liquid stage.

PS If you’re thinking “looks horrible but probably tastes good,” hold off on that, since to try and get the frosting thicker, I just kept adding more and more powdered sugar.

When I was drawing a picture of a stereotypical horrible old man for my video game, I genuinely didn’t realize that I was drawing him from memory.

When I was dream-manifesting getting a house, I didn’t even think to include “should be watertight.”

Most people are aware that Han Solo, while bragging specifically about how fast his spaceship is, uses a measurement of distance instead of time.

But few people mention how he condescends to Luke Skywalker by saying “traveling through hyperspace ain’t like dusting crops,” even though he should be aware that Luke, like many residents of Tatooine, is a moisture farmer, who had no crops.

In this ongoing series, I place Han Solo in the long cinematic tradition of Hot Idiots….

Call me a grandpa but I’m saying it:
The Snoopy watch face on the Apple Watch is just plain delightful. Full animated sequence every time I check my watch, and I have yet to see it repeat.

My only request is that for full authenticity, occasionally they stop and enjoy some Dolly Madison snack cakes.

Huh. I always just assumed I had at least a mild interest in what music my friends and acquaintances listen to. Turns out I don’t! Not even a little bit!
