Am spending my Canada Day writing a letter of support for my in-laws' application for permanent residency in Canada on humanitarian grounds. They're American and currently live in Florida, so I feel like I should just be able to write " *gestures to all of this* " to get my point across.

I'm kinda bummed out to discover I don't like Melvins' Stoner Witch. I feel like I've failed both stoners and witches.

Listening to The ArchAndroid by #JanelleMonae for the first time and the nerd in me is very happy to see a bunch of academic papers written on the album (and the other Cindi Mayweather concept albums). 🤓

After dealing with 50-60 km/h winds the last 2 days and then seeing rainbow pinwheels in someone's front yard for Pride, I had a beautiful daydream where every field and public space in this crap province had a rainbow wind turbine, including right in front of the legislature so this garbage gov't had to see it every month and day of the year. :pridesparkle:

My question is: was no one pressing records in 1966? There's only one album in our list from that year (Alton Ellis) and it's not even a full album, it's a compilation that includes some singles released in '66.

I recommend checking the stories and posts of The People's University for Palestine YEG Instagram page, to see what's going on (link above). The protesters have now been forced off campus completely.

Heartbreaking to see this shit happen on the campus I spent 8 years of my life on, in the neighborhood I lived in for 15 years. Never seen this before. The fucking "freedom" convoys that terrorized the entire city for weeks sure never got this sort of response.
