Just started Rulers of Fortune/Os Donos do Jogo, about a guy from a small city near Rio who wants to break into the gambling business with his revolutionary ideas about how to increase revenue, such as "what if our bars...didn't suck?"

The only problem is that this implies he's already successfully worked his magic on all the bars in Campos dos Goytacazes, which I find extremely hard to believe

@zrb @AutisticInnovator @hellomiakoda companies outsourcing production in order to pay less and keep the profits for themselves and/or avoid local labor laws is completely different than hiring qualified workers who are from other countries, whether they immigrated "legally" or not. Demonizing immigrant workers is not how you improve things for non-immigrant workers

@AutisticInnovator @zrb @hellomiakoda undocumented immigrants in the US haven't had a path to citizenship in decades. They aren't "Americans", but they're also not trying to steal jobs from "Americans"--they're trying to SURVIVE. Again, saying that "Americans" can't get jobs because of immigrants is Trumpist rhetoric
