Look, I'm not going to pretend to be upset about violence on horrid people. I didn't wish it but it happened. I also don't need lectures about how the "death of human empathy" is upon us. I'm not abnormal. We've been pushed really far. Schadenfreude is a valid human emotion.
Looking at the FB responses to a community fire dept who cancelled future 4th of July fireworks due to the bad behavior this year. The comments are frequently racist and advocating vigilante violence (against teens, who they say are fighting. Ironic.) Blaming "liberals" for ruining it for the white families.
Ugly, ugly stuff. This kind of attitude is fueling ICE violence. It's not going away tomorrow.
My recording microphone keeps failing. I've had bad luck with mics. I wanted to throw the last 3 out the window. All bad or crapped out. So, not going to be able to finish a new video until this is sorted.
BlueSky must be making waves because the Vice piece of shit is on there. I told him to fuck off the planet, reported the account and then blocked it. But it’s rewarmed Twitter so I’m sure they’re stoked.
My kid is graduating uni soon and she has a job lined up. I’m nervous for her but she said, “Honestly, it’s like a dream to only have to work for 8 hours a day.” She can’t wait.
I had a discouraging incident today of an acquaintance surprising me with belief in Graham Hancock's bullshit. He didn't know my history advocating against pseudoscience crackpots. It's really hard to explain in a casual conversation, but the noise I made when he mentioned the name probably said a lot.
"many employees fear that Musk may be permanently damaging Tesla's reputation by his association with Trump — and of course, his personal conduct, like performing Nazi salutes."
As I noted, geologists thinking this seismic swarm in the Aegean is NOT related to magma, volcanism, or a coming larger quake. It's likely related to "fluids", not magma. Non-experts need to stop promoting nonsense speculation. #earthquakehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4jREQ3EdEAY
Snow - poison or yummy? I am flabbergasted by the dichotomy. On one side, people in the Midwest are melting their #snow and noticing all the dirt and stuff in it (and being surprised). On the other hand, Appalachian people making "snow cream" with organic sugar and fresh #snow and eating it. Hmm.
I am currently pissed off at #Peloton for killing their Netflix app. Why are companies so damn dumb? And this is so minor compared to their higher level bullshit.
Every day is just a new discovery of dumb fuckery from corporate America.
